Dr Robert Mason

Robert Mason graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland in 1984. After graduation he worked as a General Practitioner (1987–1988) before training in radiology at the Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital, Brisbane (1989–1994).
Robert completed a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal and Neuroradiology, with a focus on MRI, at the University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Omaha, Nebraska, during an 18-month period between 1994 and 1996.
He returned to Australia to join South Coast Radiology in 1996 and became a partner in 1998. He has held Visiting Medical Officer positions at the Gold Coast and Tweed District Hospitals. His subspecialty interest areas include all aspects of MRI.
Robert is a regular contributor and presenter for professional education, benefiting CME seminars, Queensland Branch meetings of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Griffith University, the University of Queensland, in-house technical staff and local branches of the Australian Institute of Radiography.
Once a keen sailor and soccer player, Robert now devotes his leisure time to his wife and four children.
