South Coast Radiology consists of many different departments all working together to deliver smooth daily operations. The radiologists interpreting your medical images and the technical staff performing examinations hold appropriate qualifications and registration, and uphold continuing professional education to meet and exceed minimum Australian standards.

The bookings and clerical staff ensure smooth daily operation of our sites, and work closely with the administration and management teams who implement business strategies to provide unparalleled patient care.

Our Leadership Team

The Leadership Team at South Coast Radiology is accountable for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation and administration of the business, providing support and assitance to the technical and clerical teams at each of the clinics.


Warren Berry
General Manager

Warren Berry commenced in February 2017 as General Manager of South Coast Radiology.

Warren has extensive experience in the management of Medical Imaging and Specialist Medical Services.

Warren is responsible for sustaining business financial performance and corporate compliances ensuring that the community that South Coast Radiology has served for over 50 years continues to have access to the latest technology and clinical expertise whilst maintaining high quality, customer focused and efficient diagnostic imaging services.


Dinah Rochfort
Technical Services Manager

Dinah Rochfort joined South Coast Radiology in 2001, originally as a Chief Radiographer in our rooms at Palm Beach, and subsequently appointed to the role of Technical Services Manager. Dinah trained in London and has vast experience in the field of Radiography, specialising in Computer Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Dinah is responsible for the effective supply and deployment of personnel and equipment throughout the SCR group and maintaining the highest efficiency and service standards throughout the business. Also part of Dinah’s portfolio is responsibility for ensuring the business meets regulatory compliance and current accreditation. Dinah liaises with staff, suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal integration of services.


Gillian Bettridge
Administration Services Manager

Gillian Bettridge joined South Coast Radiology in June 2017 as Administration Services Manager after many years prior experience in the management, administration and coordination of private medical and commercial business enterprises.

An effective communicator, Gill has a passion for setting goals and motivating those around her to achieve their full potential. She is responsible for the day to day management of all administrative staff across the organisation, ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of quality service to all our customers and referrers.


Valerie Maples
Business Development Manager

Valerie Maples joined South Coast Radiology in July 2017 as Business Development Manager.

Valerie graduated from the University of Alabama where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Biology & Chemistry. She also has a post graduate degree in Business Management from Macquarie Graduate School and was chosen to present to the CEO of Virgin Australia as part of a strategic frameworks course. Her presentation on Virgin Australia’s rebranding strategy from a low budget airline to a business airline competing head on with Qantas was recognized among her peers and by the Virgin Australia CEO as best in class.

She has worked in both the USA and Australian healthcare sectors for several years in clinical and commercial sales roles where she received Siemens Healthcare USA President’s Circle of Excellence award for her cardiovascular sales performance. Valerie was selected by Siemens Australia to lead the cardiovascular sales and applications team and later joined GE Healthcare Australia as a Senior Account Manager and was nominated to participate as a Global Salesforce CRM Commercial Committee Member, champion the Value Add Marketing Program and take part in the Public Hospital Strategic Roundtable.

Valerie is responsible for development and execution of South Coast Radiology’s marketing strategies for various customer groups, identifying new business opportunities to meet South Coast Radiology organisational growth objectives as well as manage referrer communications and the medical liaison team.

In her spare time Valerie enjoys sailing, travelling and is a fanatical University of Alabama grid iron fan.

Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology – RANZCR

In Australia, doctors who want to become radiologists study through the fellowship-based organisation the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology (RANZCR), which provides world-standard education, training and assessment programs in radiology. The College sets, promotes and continuously improves the standards of training and practice in radiology across Australia and New Zealand.

Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia – MRPBA

All radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists working at South Coast Radiology are registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia – one of ten national boards that form the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, which works to protect the public and guide health professionals.

Under the National Law, health professionals must meet nationally consistent registration standards and hold recognised qualifications, in order to work in Australia. Each profession upholds at least five mandatory standards that ensure staff maintain continuing professional development, have no criminal history, meet English language requirements, hold professional indemnity insurance and have adequate, recent work experience.

Australian Institute of Radiography – AIR

As the peak body representing radiographers, the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) promotes, encourages and maintains best practice and proficiency for medical radiation science in Australia.

The AIR organises education events, scientific and political discussion and consultation for its members. Undergraduate radiography course providers must meet AIR minimum standards of competency in practice. The AIR encourages provides opportunities for continuing professional development through education.

Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine – ASUM

All sonographers working at South Coast Radiology are Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) accredited sonographers or student sonographers, who have met the minimum requirements for admission.

Many of our sonographers belong to either the Australian Sonographers Association (ASA) or the Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). As professional members, staff are kept informed about issues affecting ultrasound imaging and have access to advanced education events, research, case studies and discussion forums.
