Our History

As a testament to the company’s commitment to women’s imaging, in 2011 South Coast Radiology set up a dedicated practice for women’s imaging at Queen St, Southport. The Women’s Imaging Centre is designed to meet the unique health care needs of women by providing specialist medical imaging services in a professional and caring environment.  To meet this commitment, we have invested in a broad range of imaging modalities and the most advanced medical imaging equipment available to deliver exceptional medical imaging services and the highest level of patient care.

We are also one of the largest private employers on the Gold Coast with more than 300 staff including over 30 radiologists and a team of incredibly talented, compassionate individuals dedicated to providing excellent patient care and equipped with the most advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technology. Our continued innovation and development of new services means that we regularly seek experienced staff to join our group.

Due to our longstanding and trusted relationship with the medical practitioners in the region, a patient’s transition between their services to The Women’s Imaging Centre is well practiced. Organisational items such as bookings, pre-procedure briefings, discussion between specialists, radiologists and GPs, patient preparation, information and patient support are completed proficiently. Research has shown that teams who are well practiced in working together develop a high level of trust and respect for each other’s roles. This generates additional patient benefit from roles being executed well whilst minimising time delays and adverse outcomes.
