Dr. Paul Heyworth is a dedicated Radiologist with a passion for musculoskeletal imaging and procedural work, particularly in pain management through minimally invasive techniques. He holds a Fellowship of RANZCR and has extensive experience in CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
During his tenure as Chief Radiology Registrar at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, Dr. Heyworth led significant teaching initiatives and advocated for fellow trainees, enhancing training quality and department efficiency. His dedication to the field is evident through his active research contributions and presentations at prestigious conferences.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Heyworth is committed to the education and mentorship of junior doctors, serving as an associate lecturer at Bond University and Griffith University, and presenting at Bond surgical society events. He values the importance of community engagement and continues to contribute to the development of future radiologists.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Heyworth enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three young children. His role as a family man compliments his professional dedication, adding depth to his understanding of patient care.
Dr. Heyworth is preparing to bring his expertise and leadership to Darling Downs Radiology practice in 2025, where he aims to utilize his passion for radiology and procedural work to provide top-tier patient care and contribute to the field’s advancement.
