Yu Ming is a graduate of the University of Queensland (1997), and completed his radiology training at the Princess Alexandra and Gold Coast Hospitals.

Yu Ming completed a Fellowship in MRI and Cross Sectional Intervention based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital with rotations to the Gold Coast and Prince Charles Hospitals. He recently completed a Visiting MRI Fellowship in Cincinnati, USA. He has subspecialty interest in all aspects of MRI and Cross Sectional Intervention.

Yu Ming has been actively involved in research and teaching including:

  • Journal publications in the prestigious American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR), Australasian Radiology, Skeletal Radiology and Spinal Cord,
  • Oral and poster presentations at several conferences including the RANZCR Annual Scientific meetings and Symposium Neuroradiologicum.
  • Awarded Mayne Health Diagnostic Imaging Prize for the best radiology research paper , for the presentation titles "Clues to Differentiating Between Giloma and Solitary Metastasis" at the RANZCR Annual Scientific Meeting, October 2005.
  • Lectures and tutorials to medical students, resident medical officers and physicians at the University of Queensland and Princess Alexandra Hospital.  He has also been actively involved in teaching of radiology registrars and participated in the Queensland-wide training program

Yu Ming enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including tennis, cycling and golf. He and his lovely wife also enjoy traveling, cruising  and entertainment.
