Patrick graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997 and went on to complete his post-graduate diagnostic radiology training at the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide with the South Australian radiology training scheme in 2005.
He then completed a cross-sectional CT/MR imaging fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2006. Research conducted during his training include published case reports on Cerebral Melioidosis and Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in Australasian Radiology, a collaborative project with the Princess Alexandra Nephrology department involving slow nightly home nocturnal dialysis published in Nephrology, an oral presentation at the RANZCR 2006 Christchurch meeting involving MR flow voids in vertebral arteries in cervical trauma patients admitted to a spinal unit, and an ePoster on CJD at the Melbourne RANZCR 2007 meeting.
Patrick has held associate lecturing positions at both University of Queensland and Flinders University. Appointed consultant radiologist at the RBWH and works part-time for South Coast Radiology.
Patrick enjoys a variety of recreational pursuits including tennis, skiing, golf, and scuba diving.
