Kieran is a graduate of the University of Queensland (1988) and completed his radiology training at the Mater Hospital , Brisbane in 1996.

Kieran was a awarded a fellowship in Paediatric Radiology at the New Children's Hospital, Westmead, Sydney (1996) and the Children's Hospital Medical Centre, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA (1997-1998). Kieran continues to work as a staff radiologist at the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane and joined South Coast Radiology on a part-time basis in 2000 after providing his expertise in a consultant position since 1998.

Kieran has a keen interest in all facets of paediatric radiology especially neuro imaging and emerging paediatric imaging techniques.

Kieran is married with three young children. He has been involved in many sports, but theses days is more likely to be a spectator rather than participating.
