Gerry is Graduate of the University of New South Wales (1985) and completed his radiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital (1992-1995) and the John Hunter Hospital , Newcastle (1996). Since then he has worked as a Staff Radiologist for Mackay Medical Imaging and joined South Coast Radiology in 2000. He also works as a Visiting Medical Officer at Queensland Breastscreen.

Gerry's subspecialty interest areas include Breast Imaging, Trauma Radiology and Interventional Radiography.

In 1991 Gerry received the Glaxo Prize for Excellence in Clinical Teaching.

Most of Gerry's spare time is spent with his extended family and trying to read the occasional non-medical book.
